Leslie Forstadt graduated in May from The University of Iowa with a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology. She now teaches psychology and conducts research in the areas of alternative schools and gifted education. A staunch advocate for the benefits of sweating, before attending graduate school, she was a volunteer with Girlzone, a website for young girls, as the editor of the sports section. Shešs been active in womenšs cycling, both organizationally and as a participant, and more recently has volunteered with a local (she lives in Maine) land preservation organization. Leslie has landed on the Sheroes Board of Directors because of her lifetime passion for the health and well-being of all people, with a particular affinity to the health and well-being of young women. She is looking forward to helping Sheroes continue to fulfill the mission of its founders and the membership of Sheroes Inc. Her favorite food is pizza, favorite movies generally involve plot twists and random unknown actors, and she gets itchy for the sunshine after being indoors for too long!

Cathy Marciniak graduated with degrees in Economics from Wellesley College and Boston College, which qualifies her to say that she holds degrees in Economics. After living in the greater Boston area for 19 years, she moved to Texas in 2001, a circumstance that alternately amuses and horrifies her. In order to help support her two children and her book habit, she now writes, teaches, and works as a financial advisor.

Lisa Rainen has lived in the Boston area for three years, where she works as a teacher for gifted students at a middle school. She holds a Masteršs in Gifted Education from the College of William and Mary and a Bacheloršs in English from the University of Washington. Lisa started reading Tamora Piercešs books when she was 12, despite thinking they looked too easy and short. She was pleasantly surprised and continues to read them and reread them today. In her free time, Lisa likes to play strategy games, knit, swim, do puzzles, read, and cook.

My real name is Genevieve, though most people call me Gennie. I've actually been around Sheroes for four years, mostly without posting (though I've been better this summer!) I've lived in southern New Hampshire my entire 19.5 years of life, though I currently go to Mount Holyoke College in western Massachusetts where I'm a sophmore. My intended major is environmental science; surprisingly enough I like most things related to either being outdoors or science. My other obsessions include turtles, purple, fire, and playing with photography.

Rachel/Ratesjul I grew up in rural New Zealand, where most kids at school want to know more than just the fact that a teacher has a qualification. They want to know background, where people are from, where they studied, and the names of their cats or dogs.
Well, I don't have any cats or dogs (or I'd tell you their names), but I can tell you my whakapapa instead. I grew up in a 'one blink' town in rural New Zealand, in the "Winterless North", where the front door was 10 km of gravel road away from the nearest town. Where my river was the Omaunu, my mountain was Umakiwi, my Marae was my mother's (Rangimarie), and my harbour was the Whangaroa. I have more university qualifications in Finance and Accounting than I know what to do with, and I don't currently use them in my job (except for parts of the extra tasks I get given on top of my regular job). I work in Accounts Receivable (for a whole week) for the public broadcaster, and have worked in Accounts Payable for the same company, for a little over two years before that. In a prior life I was involved in the Students Association at university, and was Administration Vice-President for a year - learning about things like writing and enhancing policy, publicising meetings and posting minutes, and actually showing up to the meetings of the committees I'd been given a seat on.
I joined Sheroes in June 2002, became a moderator in September 2003, and have been an admin for a few years since then.
