Okay, Tammy's spoken w/her editors, and they've decided that a Tammy fanfic forum on here would be fine! Apparently, they're less hardnosed about it than I'd been led to believe....

However, there are a few conditions:

1) You can post fanfic in here based on Tammy's characters and universes - but not other authors'. This is because while Tammy has given permission to her fans to write fanfic, we don't know for sure if any other author has - or if they won't change their minds later on for one reason or another.

2) You can write fanfic based on Tammy's work, but you can't make any money off it. If you've got an idea that's so good you think you can sell it, then it's time to come up w/your own characters and universe so people will be inspired to write fanfic based on YOUR work.

3) Don't ask Tammy to read your fanfic. For legal reasons, she won't do it. (Think of the woman who sued J.K. Rowling b/c, in a book that had been out of print for a long time, she'd written about characters called "Muggles" - who didn't even bear any resemblance to how Rowling uses the term!)

4) This is the biggie: NO SEXUALLY EXPLICIT FANFIC IN HERE, PLEASE! There are several reasons for this, including: We've got members as young as eight in here who we don't want exposed to that sort of thing; and the Board's rules are for you to watch your language. Writing about romances between characters is fine, of course - but no details descriptions of their sex lives on here, okay? Please?

I an knew here and just glad to hear that Tammie's editors uproved the fan fic idea.Thank you for posting rules.I have had a fan fic in mind for a year or so based on TP's Protector of the Small books.But i have not written ityet Now i think i will.I am not great or anything and I usually write fan fics based on Mercedes Lackey Valdemar which i keep to myself because She does not allow fan fics.Which is ok.But i am glad i can now begin to expand my fan fic ability to TP's books.

Burningpixie, how has she tried posting her story? It SHOULD show up if she's following the Attachment instructions properly - which might be the problem right there, as the attachment types allowed are really limited, especially when it comes to document files.... <sigh>
